Lose your Tummy - 5 Ways to Stay Focused

No one said that life after your pregnancy was going to be
less stressful. However, there are ways to make some things
such as your efforts to lose your tummy less of a headache.
So that you don't give up at losing pregnancy weight, here
are five ways to relieve your workout or weight loss stress,
boredom or frustrations.

1. Yoga - This is a popular exercise for moms who are keen
to lose the tummy and get toned and lean. Yoga comes in
various traditions so find one that suites your tastes and
sign up and get stretching. If you like saunas and don't
mind sweating, you should try a 90 minute session of Bikram
Yoga to burn the baby fat and sweat out those toxins from
your body. Or you can join a Yin Yoga class for deeper
stretching and challenge your muscles with its longer
duration of the poses. No time to leave the house? Then
rent or buy a Yoga DVD and workout at home.

2. Kickboxing - A fun way to lose your tummy and spice up
your workout sessions is Kickboxing. It's a welcome
alternative to the treadmill and unlike the treadmill or
stationary exercise bike, you get a total body workout.
Kickboxing also increases your stamina, strength and
flexibility. You can ease into these high-intensity
workouts by building up your endurance with some low-impacts
aerobics.

3. Tea - A good alternative to cold colas and saucers of
coffees would be a stress free cup of tea. Opt for green tea
and you'll get the weight loss benefits of rich
anti-oxidants. Getting into Green Tea can give you another
caffeine alternative to those other drinks, which could be
high in calories and sugars.

4. Beef is Good - Losing your tummy by eating right can be
tricky, especially when you have to ensure that you are
eating a balanced diet. Lean meats, especially beef is a
good source of protein that is also high in iron, zinc and B
vitamins. Making a conscious effort to eat lean meats and to
watch your portion sizes is the smart way to keep your
dietary saturated fat low and your weight off.

5. Laugh - To quote Mort Walker, "Seven days without
laughter makes one weak." and we all know how easy it is to
self-sabotage our efforts to lose the tummy and how
difficult it is to stay on course. Laughing puts more
endorphins into our body and this gives a positive boost to
your psyche. Go and be silly with your kids or have a night
out with the girls. Find a way to have a good laugh, it can
go a long way to give you the strength to keep on going.

Losing your tummy can be a long and unpleasant journey but
