stored as fat. Extra insulin production from eating excess
amounts of carbohydrates leads to a steady decrease in the
sensitivity of the cells to insulin which leads to the body
having to make or produce more and more insulin to
accomplish the same job .

maximum level of carbohydrates needed to take off excess
weight. Followers of the Atkins diet tips will use
"Ketostix" strips (available from a chemist or health store)
to investigate or detect when their body is in a state of
