What Causes Vertigo and Dizziness?
by Christian Goodman
Mot of us take the ability to stand upright for granted. In
fact, we can stand still without needing to hold on to
something for support.
Healthy people can do most of that thanks to our amazing
balance system.
However, not everyone's systemic balance allows for the
ability to walk with ease. Vertigo or dizziness are terms
used to describe the effects of the impaired balance system.
Though these feelings have differences, I will use the
terms interchangably since the root cause is the same.
Everyone has experienced some form of dizziness or vertigo.
Perhaps an ear infection left you wobbly on your feet. Or,
you've suddenly jumped up from a sitting position very
quickly and felt the need to sit right back down.
Typically, there is no need to find a cure for such short
term occurances.
There are people who don't have the luxury of knowing the
feeling is temporary. They will be afflicted with chronic
vertigo or dizziness every few months or even every day.
The balance system or rather the impaired balance system is
the culprit for this chronic condition.
Below are the three balance systems we all have
body sense eyes ears
Even if one of these systems is adversely affected, we can
still continue to function.
However, if two or even three of those balance systems
become ineffective, we have a big problem. That is why it is
so important to strengthen all three balance systems even if
one or two are too weak to completely heal them.
So how do we strengthen our balance system?
Stress or muscle tension surrounding the eyes, ears or upper
body is responsible for vertigo or dizziness the majority of
the time.
Ear impairments will cause you to view your surrounds
slightly differently than the balance system in your eyes
do.
The unsteady feeling is the result of the brain trying to
process these different perceptions.
Having your eyes dilated is a good example of this
occurance.
A perfectly functioning balance system in the ears and body
would help you continue functioning when the eyes are not up
to par. However, normally, dizziness still occurs because
it just is not likely that both of the other systems will be
in perfect balance.
But, if you loosen and strengthen the muscles surrounding
all three systems, relief can be found.
You do not even have to do this perfectly. If you only bring
each of these systems to 70% function, that is enough for
you to never feel dizziness or vertigo again. That is
exactly what my natural vertigo and dizziness program does.
