Want to lose weight safely? Drink Green Tea

by Loralie Hardy

Green tea is a very inexpensive, natural beverage that has
many great weight loss benefits. It is a simple addition to
your weight loss. It tastes good, so you don't have to add
the artificial sweeteners, milk or cream. Green tea extract
can be used if you don't like the taste of green tea.

You can reduce body weight by stimulating the body's
thermogenesis process drinking greet tea. This thermogenesis
process helps to increase the expenditure of energy. It also
helps to oxidize fat in the body. Many of the compounds
found in the plants have this effect. You can get the same
effects of diet pills such as ephidrine, but without all the
dangerous side affects.

Green tea does not put pressure on the heart so is very safe
for many of the overweight people who have or at the risk of
developing hypertension and other cardiovascular problems.
If you are in this unsafe group then using diet pills,
especially those that contain ephedra are not an option.
Drinking green tea and exercising at a moderate level will
trim your waist line. Body cleansing is another option.

The easiest and most efficient way to lose weight is by
consuming less calories, by eating less and by expending
more energy, by exercising or moving more. Green tea works
by revving up our metabolism which creates an increase
output by aproximately 5%. Scientists believe that catechin
found in green tea is the causitive factor in increasing the
energy output.

Green tea is a powerful antioxidant. Antioxidants have been
proven to fight free radicals that fight against our immune
system. By improving our immune system which happens with
the regular use of green tea, will assist out bodies in
protecting ourselves from diseases.

For people are sensitve to caffiene green tea contains
caffiene. It is also recommended that if one decides to
take green tea it would be best to limit other forms of
caffiene in their diet, such as other teas, coffee or
caffeinated beverages such as pop. Do not choose caffiene
free green tea as the chemical process that occurs to remove
the caffiene destroys the benefits from the plant.

At the same time you will need to exercise control in what
you eat. If you eat more to compensate for the calories that
are burnt by the tea, you will not lose any weight. Keeping
to the same calorific intake that you have now and taking
green tea should result in gradual weight loss and better
energy levels over a few weeks. You can of course increase
the speed of this by reducing calorie consumption and/or
increasing exercise.

Since green tea is accepted by everyone as a natural and
safe food with added benefits of antioxidants and proven
assist in weight maintenance or control. It can cheaply and
easily be added to any weightloss program and can be taken
in a variety of forms, such as tea, extract or tablets. The
great benefit is it is inexpensive and easily to obtain. -
