The Internet offers us a wide number of categories, games
and sites, what games do people really love playing? After
lots of research and checking, some by using of Google tools
I got to some interesting facts.
The most popular games are, believe it or not, dress up! I
don't know if it's because of the fact that girls have less
categories that appeal them then boys or that they really
like to play but this genre is extremely popular.
So what are dress up games anyway, i guess most of you never
played those games before, well Dress up games are similar
to paper dolls for girls except you dress them up online.
Dress up games are excellent introductions for young girls
first entering the world of computers and gaming which is a
great value for young girls that usually don't approach
computers, a thing that might be a disadvantage later on
compared to boys that have lots of interaction with
computers since young age.
You can see the popularity of this category from the large
variety of dress up sites on the Internet. The next popular
category is racing games, which always appealed to the boys
and grown up men, for many people it's the only place they
can practice wild, fast driving, it's better at the online
games world then the real roads.
Racing games often let you drive at high speed more then
allowed by law in the comfort of your own home so many
people enjoy those games.
Driving games can be judged by many of aspects, such as
track selection, handling and graphics, but the most
important aspect for hardcore gamers is the customization
options, the more options available, the better! Racing
games can get monotonous pretty fast so game programmers
must innovate and find new ways to improve the game play.
Most Driving games are divided into two genres: racing
simulation, which offers accurate physics and real world
feeling of the cars, and arcade racing, in which no accurate
representation is available, and offers just pure fun.
The last popular category are the good old shooting genre
that can be distilled into two main types-the arcade
adventure games and the simple shoot em' up games, no plot
just shoot whatever stand in your way. A very popular sub
genre inside those games are the futuristic games that
feature some mission and destroying some aliens and other
targets that come in your way. Shooting can be fantastic
fun games if executed properly so the game programmer must
put an emphasis on the the game play engine.
Another surprisingly popular games are board games that can
be described as a unique branch of strategy games, board
games can appeal to both experienced gamers and casual ones,
providing instant fun on any number of platforms. Well, now
